Damar Sing Rai was born in a farming village near Lukla, the major entrance to the Everest region. He is highly experienced and very enthusiastic mountain guide of Nepal. With a decade of accumulated experience, Rai brings a passion and great vision to his work. Like many of our trekking guides at Nepal Horizon Treks & expedition, he start out his trekking career as a porter, learning the ropes and gradually worked his way into a trekking leader position. He has received the leadership and trekking certificate from the ministry of tourism and civil aviation, Nepal.
Having travelled extensively to the all major trekking region of Nepal, he has acquire enough knowledge of the mountain region and its climate, local culture and the local life and behavior. This helps him to organize the trip making sure that his guest have a good time on their trek. He can speak English, Nepali and Hindi as well.
