Dhulikhel to Namobudda Hiking is easy grade hiking in Nepal that takes you to the land of natural wonders and also a sacred landmark of Buddhist Devotees. 

Very beautifully designed Namobudda Monastery presents you distant, yet mesmerizing views of the white Himalayas, green rolling hills and cultivated terrains. In this place, Buddha had offered his body to hungry tiger and cubs, thus this land became sacred for Buddhists. You can see the Tigers and cubs (statue) in the garden of Namobudda. As you enter the monastery, you will feel the inner peace and enjoy  yourself. 

This short hiking tour starts with a short drive from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel. Then, the route passes through forests and cultivated lands for about 4 hours to reach Namobudda. After exploring the monastery and its surroundings, we will return to Kathmandu in a private vehicle for overnight stay.

Best Seasons

Dhulikhel Namobudda Day hike is possible in all the seasons throughout the year; however, autumn and spring are considered as the best season and thus this place sees large number of domestic and international tourists during these seasons. Autumn

Autumn season begins from mid of September and lasts in November. You will find pleasant weather during this time, so this is considered  the best season for hiking and trekking in Nepal. Not only Dhulikhel Namobudda Hiking, you can also choose Everest Hiking or Annapurna Base Camp trekking and even the expeditions are possible during this season. Moreover, this is a festive season and you can explore vibrant festivals in Nepal.

Spring

This is another most famous trekking season in Nepal after the autumn season. Spring season starts from mid-March and ends in May, spring season presents alluring natural views and  pleasant weather. The blooming Rhododendrons cover the forests making the trail awesome. 

Winter and Monsoon

Day 1

Day-1

On this day, we will pick you from designated hotel and start a drive to Dhulikhel in Morning. On reaching Dhulikhel, we will start hiking on a naturally blessed trekking trail filled with immense natural beauties. Starting our walk from the hustle and bustle of the Dhulikhel city, we follow the tranquil trail to reach Namobudda. About 4 hours of walking in a pleasant route takes us to Namobudda which is the world famous Buddhist Pilgrimage site, where thousands of Buddhist devotees makes pilgrimage every year. The very beautiful design and peaceful environment allures every hikers of this region. Moreover, you will get a chance to observe the countryside lifestyle of Newari people in Namobudda. 

Additionally, one can explore distant mountain vistas that decorate the green hills looking awesome. You can explore a small garden in Namobudda where Lord Gautama Buddha had offered his body to hungry tigress and her cubs. Thus this place became holy land for Buddhists. 

At about 5:00 PM, we will return back to Kathmandu on a private vehicle and end the trip.
