Gokyo Ri trek route

A beautiful 40-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla marks the beginning of our journey. You have a different feeling as you fly above the high mountains and hills. After arriving in Lukla, we hiked a short distance to Phakding (2,650m). Your work today will aid in your acclimatization.
You will depart Phakding the following morning for Namche Bazaar (3,440 m), which serves as the entrance to Everest. You can catch the first sightings of Mount Everest on the road to Namche, once you've entered the Sagarmatha National Park. Namche Bazar is a bustling tourist destination filled with businesses catering specifically to travellers, including hotels, restaurants, and cafes. You'll acclimate for a day in Namche.
You will travel to Dole after spending a day in Namche while taking in the views of Mount Amadablam (6,812m) and Khumbila (5,761m). A tiny head of Phortse Tenga is lying on a dole. You will be walking on a path lined with colourful prayer flags as you make your way from Dole to Macchermo, which will make the journey very pleasant. Yaks might be spotted grazing on meadows while you travel if the time of year is favourable.
You will leave Macchermo on the sixth day of your walk and arrive at Gokyo village. You will pass Phangan along the route, a location set aside for landslide victims. With its mountains, glaciers, and oligotrophic lakes, Gokyo appears stunning. We walk around Gokyo Village and take in the splendour of the Gokyo Lakes. Six of the highest freshwater lakes in the world are found in a group called the Gokyo Lakes.
