This 4 Days Short Trek to Poon Hill offers a specially designed itinerary for those who are short on time but still want to experience the unforgettable scenery and culture of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. The trail, particularly the vantage point at Poon Hill (3210m), provides amazing views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Manaslu, Lamjung, Hiunchuli and Fishtail among others. Over the course of four days, you will pass through multiple Magar and Gurung villages, including Ghandruk. This opens up the opportunity to interact with the locals of the region and closely experience their lifestyle, culture and traditions. The trail also leads you through lush hills and pleasant forests, home to a variety of flora and fauna.
The Short Poon Hill Trek begins with a quick drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. From there, you will trek through Birethani, Hille and a number of other villages to reach Tikhedhunga, the stop for the first night. The next day, you’ll cross a few suspension bridges and climb a long stairway. The trail through the hills and bamboo forests takes you through Ulleri and Banthani, and you’ll eventually arrive at Ghorepani. Wake up early the next morning for a pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill. Poon Hill, the highlight of this trek, offers breathtaking sunrise views of most of the Annapurna region. Click some pictures there and head back to Ghorepani for breakfast. Afterwards, descend through Deorali and Tadapani up to the modern Gurung village of Ghandruk. Visit the Ghandruk Cultural Museum nearby, interact with the locals or simply enjoy the scenic views for the evening. On the final day, descend to Birethani and retrace your steps back to Nayapul. The Short Poon Hill Trek comes to a closure with a drive back to Pokhara.

The best times to attempt the Short Poon Hill trek are during spring (March - May) and autumn (September - November) seasons.
